Calvin Dark
President

Calvin Dark is a trailblazer in global communications and strategy, shaping international narratives between Washington, DC to Rabat, Morocco as president of RC Communications. He is a highly sought-after multilingual American political analyst who regularly breaks down complex US and international news – in Arabic – on major outlets such as BBC Arabic, Al Arabiya Al Hadath, France 24 Arabic, and CNBC Arabia.

In 2014, Calvin co-founded RC Communications where he became the go-to advisor for foreign governments, NGOs and corporations seeking results in strategic messaging and public affairs. He has steered campaigns to victory for Togo's and Burkina Faso's Millennium Challenge Corporation compacts, and served as an elections advisor for clients in Mali, Indonesia, Gabon, and Benin. Calvin co-designed and managed a nationwide Advocacy and Campaign Training (ACT) program to empower the next generation of political leaders for the Congressional Black Caucus Institute (CBCI). He organized the CBCI's first “Globally Black: Increasing Diversity in Foreign Affairs Careers” forum. Calvin was also a voter outreach and communications consultant for the Washington, DC Board of Elections for the 2016 election cycle. Calvin especially enjoys the challenge of preparing high-level officials, CEOs, and political nominees for the spotlight through custom media training sessions in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish.

Prior to co-founding RC Communications, Calvin left a powerful mark as the Director of Communications for the Moroccan American Center for Policy (MACP) where he organized events and high-level delegations, led media relations and outreach focusing on US-Morocco relations and King Mohammed VI's Autonomy Initiative for the Western Sahara. Calvin's proudest moments during his 8-year tenure at MACP were leading the communications outreach for the International Public Relations Association award-winning “Free Them Now” campaign to liberate the last-remaining Moroccan POWs in Algeria and organizing a multi-US city roundtable tour for a delegation of Morocco's first mourchidates, government-trained female religious leaders who focus on fighting extremism.

Calvin was a Fulbright Scholar to Morocco where he conducted graduate research on anti-corruption policies and, ever since, this life-changing experience inspired him to become a fierce alumni advocate for the Fulbright Program. His leadership is recognized at the highest levels—he was elected to the Fulbright Association's National Board of Directors (2026-2029)—and in 2024, the US State Department's Speaker Program tapped Calvin to combat disinformation by leading French-language workshops for journalists and civil society leaders across Africa.

Calvin is a graduate of the NC School of Science & Mathematics, the nation's first public residential high school focused on science, technology, engineering and math, and Duke University, and currently serves on the Duke University Library Advisory Board. He speaks English, Arabic, French, and Spanish and divides his time between Washington, DC and Rabat, Morocco. Whether shaping narratives on the global stage or mentoring the next generation of leaders, Calvin Dark brings energy, expertise, and vision to everything he does.
